Christmas Tree
Piadina bites
Ingredients
- La Sfogliata Tradizionale
- 1 Camembert cheese
- Honey
- Chopped walnuts
- Pomegranate seeds
- Fresh mint leaves
- Thin breadsticks (stick snacks)
Procedure
Using a round cutter, cut a disc from the piadina the same size as the Camembert. Slice the Camembert in half horizontally to obtain two thinner rounds, then place one half on the piadina disc and secure it with a thin layer of honey so it adheres.
Cut the piadina-and-cheese disc into evenly sized triangular wedges, like little Christmas trees. Insert a thin breadstick at the base of each triangle to create the “trunk.”
Prepare two small plates: pour honey into one, and in the other mix the chopped walnuts, pomegranate seeds and mint leaves. Dip each tree first in honey and then in the walnut mix, so the surface looks like a decorated Christmas tree.
Arrange on a platter and serve as a festive, eye-catching finger food for your Christmas table.
